Business gas is calculated very differently to household gas. There are several factors that contribute to this, from the size of your property to your company’s specific requirements.

Whether you’re the business manager for a busy office, a city centre hotel, a local café or a multinational restaurant chain, we can help you find the most competitive gas deal in seconds.

There are two types of gas tariffs available to businesses – fixed rate gas tariffs and variable rate tariffs.

The most popular tariff chosen by businesses is a fixed rate tariff. Fixed rate tariffs often work out cheaper as you won’t have to pay more if gas prices increase. What’s more, gas providers will offer fixed rates for a number of years, with the majority of suppliers fixing prices for up to 5 years, so it allows businesses to maintain control of their outgoings.

Business gas is calculated very differently to household gas. There are several factors that contribute to this, including:

  • Your location
  • The size of your premises
  • Your current supplier
  • Current spend on business gas
  • Current consumption of kWh units and current standing charges
  • Meter type (standard, economy 7, maximum demand or half hourly)

Make your gas bill cheaper by choosing a fixed-rate tariff without standing charges

A standing charge is the price you pay for your supplier to provide gas into your business and is charged whether you use gas or not.

However, some gas providers offer fixed tariffs with no standing charge. This means that if you do not use gas, you will not be charged a fee for the supply of gas to your business premises as part of your monthly bill.

We work with a wide range of commercial gas suppliers, making it easier than ever for you to compare business gas quotes.
